The Philippine islands are mostly hilly

or mountainous in natural terrains. 

Almost thirty mountains of this country

are more than 2000 meters in height.

They are here in the centre of the consi

deration, simply because they can be

impress by their majestic beauty,

spectacular landscape prospects,

their topical vegetation, large number

of endemic species and their mountain

sports facilities. We speak here about

higher mountains in general. Philippines

is home to the world famous Vanda

Sanderiana or WalingWaling Orchids

and the Calanthe Elmeri Orchids.

Calanthes generally grows at elevations

above 300 feet. It is a warm growing and

deciduous orchids species, commencing

growth inspring and flowering in autumn.
